Adventurer's Guide

Caymus Harbor is the key to the success of the town that shares its name. The harbor provides a safe port for ships to land on the south side of the continent, and the breakwaters allow the ships to repair their seafaring damage in tranquil waters.

The far shores of the harbor were recently explored, and some important points of interest were discovered. The thick brush is impassable along the majority of the banks, but there is a marshy beach on the west side that leads to the Swamp of Sorrow. There is also a secluded cove in the northwestern area, rumored to be a center for more illicit trade activity, and the river that feeds the harbor is often slow enough to allow passage up the stream.

An important landmark in the harbor is the island that guards the entrance. The first settlers of Caymus built an impressive lighthouse on this small landmass, and ever since it has shone brightly at night - though no one knows exactly how the fires are fueled. No wood is ever taken to the island, and there isn't enough natural growth to burn such bright beacons into the night. Brave adventurers may want to discover the nature of the lighthouse fire just to put their own curiosity to rest.
